Where
on earth can you walk down the main street of town, ride a train nearly 2
kilometres out to sea, walk the length of the southern hemisphere's longest
timber jetty, snorkel or dive amongst schooling fish and tropical coral or visit
an underwater observatory that takes you 8 metres below sea level to view an
amazing, colourful marine world?
Why not take an hour or two of your time to enjoy this unique experience!
Currently only 200mts is open due to massive renovations, re-opening approx May-June 2010.

Closed as a
port in 1972, the 138 year old Jetty has since been ravaged by both fire and
cyclone. It survives today thanks to the tremendous support of the local
community and the hundreds of thousands of visitors annually who choose to
stroll it's length, ride the famous red Jetty Train, fish, swim, scuba dive or
snorkel.
